Mix Master: Tamu McPherson
It’s hard to meet a person in fashion who’s so down to earth and chill, but Tamu McPherson is that person. I first met her when I was stalking Hanneli on the street for a photo. Tamu asked if she could take photo of me. I was super flattered though this photo never surfaced on her blog, alltheprettybirds.blogspot.com. When I ran into her again a season later at the Lincoln Center she remembered me and we chatted about our tiredness and our sons. She is so chill you’d never know she is editor-atlarge at Grazia Italia magazine and is regularly featured at sites including Net-a-Porter, Vogue, and Jak & Jil (Tommy Ton’s site). Her style is super cool, like her personality. She says she likes to dress down during fashion week, but from time to time you will see her in super-high heels and dolled up. She goes for lots of Prada (staying true to her roots), Proenza Schoulder, Rag and Bone, and Zara. I really love her casual style, she just seems to have the perfect pieces that are comfortable with the right dose of chic.
