When you are turning “Ahem”, 40 years old (not me!!!), you need to go down or up properly. That’s what we did for our friend, Pete. He wanted to turn 40 gracefully sans the party, but we insisted that he drinks a bottle of whiskey and take some of us down with him.

We started with a six-course meal at Momofuku Ssam Bar then headed to Thompson LES, where we had rented a penthouse suite. The setting was perfect. The space consisted of a giant living room with a wrap-around balcony with southern and northern views of the Manhattan skyline. The highlight of the suite was the egg shaped tub that was size of a typical studio apartment. The evening weather was amazing, so we had a fantastic turn out. Even had some crashers from Penthouse 3.

On the side note, I helped ready the place and filled the refrigerators between my takes. Happy birthday, Pete. Thanks for giving me an excuse for a little shoot.
