Ripped and Torn Jeans

Mama Wore: Top by Bensoni/Denim by Seven For Menkind/Shoes by Chanel/Sunglasses by Dior
Nothing says rebel, cool, and youth like torn jeans. They bring back memories of junior high when I made friendship bracelets, a scheme to buy some friendships. I hooked a safety pin onto the knee of my jeans and started a friendship bracelet factory on my leg. I was working with 37 strings and elaborate Mayan-like designs; meanwhile the norm was 8 strings in a straight line. My friendship factory left tiny holes in my denim, which later transformed into holes big enough to expose an entire knee. I guess friendship bracelets did lead me to more friends if only because of my cool ripped jeans.
Torn jeans can be very messy, so I like when they’re paired with sharp lines like pointy pumps and a petite tailored blazer. Best to avoid blinged-out T-shirts or animal prints that will make you look like you had a bad fight with a shredder.
