Winter Haute
You put together the cutest outfit for the day, then you check the weather and it seems the temperature has dropped overnight. You have doubts, so you do an extensive check. “Extensive,” meaning, first step is to go on weather.com, second you wet your index finger/stick it out your window and 3rd you sample people on the street.
Alas, you conclude that it’s freaking cold outside. You panic, lose all motivation to look cute and now your outfit strategy is about survival. You wear uggs so your toes don’t fall off before you get into subway station, bubble jackets so snow doesn’t stick, wool hats and gloves, and off you go looking like a total (not) haute mess.
Then I spot a woman who looks warm who is also dressed impeccably. Not sure–is her secret the Uniqlo Heattech thermals?
Anyways, I did extensive research on our behalf and found that it may be a short and mild winter (cross our fingers). I salute a cup of hot cocoa to all the women who beat the weather and stay haute!
